The Karamoja Anti Corruption Community Empowerment project (KACEP) is a four year Dan Church aid (DCA) funded project implemented in Napak district, Ngoleriet Sub County and Nakapiripirit District, Nabilatuk Sub County.
Overall Objective: The overall objective of the project is to establish to establish and operationalise a sustainable community based transparency and accountability monitoring and follow up mechanism in Districts of Napak and Nakapiripirit.
- To strengthen the capacity of civil society organisations and marginalised rights holders to demand for transparency and accountability in public service delivery in Napak and Nakapiripirit districts.
- To profile transparency and accountability issues emerging from Napak and Nakapiripirit at national level.
The project is implemented in partnership with ARELIMOK (Action for Poverty Reduction and Livestock Modernisation in Karamoja) as the lead regional implementing partner in addition to Sub County implementing partners that is; WAPIIK and KACHEP in Nabilatuk Sub County, Nakapiripirit district and OCODI and FORDIPOM in Ngoleriet Sub County, Napak districts.
ACCU uses the Community Based Monitoring and evaluation model to implement the project, and establish and operationalise a sustainable community based transparency and accountability monitoring and follow up mechanism in Districts of Napak and Nakapiripirit.
